One of Natura's most rewarding projects by far. Hidden under unsightly carpet laid a picturesque parkay design.
Here, you can almost see the parkay pattern. The carpet not only was glued down, but had a skim coat of feather finish which needed to be removed.
While removing the feather finish, sandpaper was interchanged constantly due to how the glue would gum up the paper.
We had to replace many boards due to water damage and add many boards to extend the pattern in certain areas.
With all said and done, we had sanded and screened the floor to a smooth 150 grit. Then applied three coats of a matte waterborne finish.
If you have ever walked through the Norton museum, you will know how huge this project was. I believe it was close to 10,000 s.f.
